Magnesia chrome brick is the flagship product of Ao'an refractory. Ao'an Refractory has been producing magnesia chrome bricks for more than 50 years, and is the pioneer of such products in China. In this product field, Ao'an Refractory has a number of patents.




The magnesia chrome brick has excellent slag corrosion resistance, high temperature overheating damage resistance, vacuum damage resistance, oxidation resistance, reduction resistance and abrasion resistance. Magnesia chrome bricks are widely used in key parts of metal smelting furnaces, especially the working linings of smelting furnaces that use vacuum, or change of acid and alkali of smelting slag, or strong oxidizing atmosphere, such as various high-quality steel refining furnaces (RH or DH vacuum degassing furnaces, VOD ladle vacuum degassing furnaces, AOD argon oxygen refining furnaces, ultra-high power electric furnaces, etc.), The working lining, hot spot area, slag line area, air hole area, scouring area and other vulnerable parts of large nonferrous metal smelting furnace (flash furnace, converter, anode furnace, Kaldor furnace, etc.).




After salt dipping, the physical and chemical properties and service performance of magnesia chrome bricks can be greatly improved. After salt leaching, the porosity of the product decreases by about 5.0 percent , the bulk density increases by about 0.05g/cm3, and the compressive strength increases by about 30MPa.




According to different raw materials used, magnesia chrome brick series products are divided into three categories: recombined magnesia chrome bricks (FMK), directly bonded magnesia chrome bricks (DMK) and semi recombined magnesia chrome bricks (SMK).




Combined with magnesia chrome bricks, the fused magnesia chrome synthetic sand is used as the main raw material and fired at ultra-high temperature. It has excellent oxidation reduction property, overheating damage resistance, abrasion resistance and erosion resistance, and good thermal shock stability, especially with super slag corrosion resistance and vacuum damage resistance. It has been proved in practice that, under the vacuum smelting environment, or under the strong oxidizing atmosphere, or under the strong scouring of superheat liquid, or under the corrosive service environment of strong alkaline slag liquid and slag liquid with alkalinity change, the combined magnesia chrome brick is currently a furnace lining material with long life and high cost performance. It is widely used in vacuum smelting furnace (such as RH vacuum degassing device, VOD vacuum degassing ladle), argon oxygen refining furnace (such as AOD refining converter), ultra-high power electric furnace, nonferrous metal smelting furnace and other key parts with severe working conditions, such as vulnerable parts such as working lining, hot spot area, slag line area, air hole area, scouring area, etc.
